Supported Server Platforms

  • JRE 1.4 or later running on one of the following platforms:

    Supported Browser-Plugin Configurations

    JWAVE 3.51 has been tested with the following Browser-Plugin configurations:
    Other, untested configurations may work as well.

    Client System Requirements

    • JDK 1.4.2 or later (for non browser-based interaction)
    • JWAVE Beans:
      • BDK 1.0_jul98 or later
      • Any http server that supports CGI version 1.1 or later
    • Browsers
      • Refer to the "Supported Browser-Plugin Configurations" section above
    • JWaveJSPServlet support

    JWAVE 3.51 Updates

    • Added support for JDK 1.4.2_06

    • Updated JWaveApplet Demos.

    Performance

    • Performance improvement to PackTable routine.
    • Performance improvement when passing 2D String arrays.

    Multiple JWAVE View Objects

    • Updated PackImage function to return multiple JWAVE View Objects.

    JWAVE 3.51 New Features

    New 64 Bit Platform Support

    • JWAVE 64 bit: Supported platforms are AIX, Linux, and Solaris
      In order to enable 64 bit support, create a variable "WAVE64" in your manager configuration and set it to 1.

    New HTTP Connection Model

    • JWaveJSPServlet: Allows use of client-side JSP's to interact with a
      JWAVE server via a servlet enabled web server (such as Tomcat,
      Enhydra or Weblogic), with no JAVA progamming required.

    New Client-Side Graphical Capabilities

    • New JWavePanel2D and JWaveCanvas2d classes contain the following features
      • Select a point on 2D chart and return data coordinates
      • Zoom in on a 2D chart and return a new data range
      • Row and column profile of an image
    • New JWavePanel3D and JWaveCanvas3D classes contain the following feature
      • Allows interactive rotation of a 3D chart

    Other Features

    • New demos for classes/jwave_demos
      • Four JWaveJSPServlet Demos
      • Four Advanced Graphics Features Demos
