Visual Numerics Announces an Expansion of its
Consulting Services and Customer Care Initiatives

Expanded consulting and support services dedicated to building and
maintaining reliable analysis and visualization applications

SAN RAMON, Calif. - February 18, 2003 - Visual Numerics Inc., a leading provider of numerical analysis and visualization software, today announced the expansion of its consulting and support services. In direct response to a growing number of customer requests for more in-depth and personalized services, Visual Numerics is expanding its Consulting Services to include new technical expertise in mathematics and statistics for broader analysis offerings such as custom algorithm development and data I/O and management. In addition, Visual Numerics will continue to provide its comprehensive visualization capabilities through expanded customer care services. In part, this will be accomplished by senior technical experts partnering with account representatives on major accounts.
