Resell IMSL® Numerical Libraries and PV-WAVE®

San Ramon, CA – October 4, 2005 – Visual Numerics, Inc., a leading provider of numerical analysis and visualization software, today announced that it has partnered with four international distributors: Aertia Software in Spain (serving Portugal as well), Norsys Technology in Sweden (serving all of Scandinavia), Softbooks in Poland, and Visual Solutions Limited in Nigeria, to resell all of Visual Numerics' products including the IMSL® Numerical Libraries and PV-WAVE®. These distribution partnerships will supplement Visual Numerics' current global sales efforts and help the company expand its business analytics reach into new territories.

The four international distributors are:

  • Spain-based Aertia, which focuses on companies and universities that require highly technical and powerful software tools. Managing Director and Founder Juan Manuel Sole, formerly managing director of Addlink understands the numerical analysis tools market inside and out.
  • Norsys is a newly established organization based in Sweden and founded by Kjell Hegerin, who has owned and operated software distributorships for more than 30 years.
  • Softbooks, located in Poland, specializes in scientific software sales and also has good relationships with the local universities. The company's founder Fabian Sojka is very knowledgeable of the services and tools Visual Numerics provides.
  • Visual Solutions Limited has been established for the sole purpose of distributing Visual Numerics' products in Nigeria.

"Visual Numerics chose to partner with Aertia, Norsys, Softbooks and Visual Solutions Limited because of their experience in selling scientific and technical software, and the strong relationships they have with key companies and universities in their respective regions," said Phil Fraher, president and CEO of Visual Numerics. "We're delighted to be working closely with all four companies to expand our global reach by bringing the power of advanced numerical analysis and visualization tools to an even larger group of European and African researchers, business analysts and academic institutions."
